Coronavirus Update | March 24th

Further to the Government’s announcement last night to enforce stricter measures on people’s movement, I wanted to provide you with another update on where we stand in terms of getting food to your dogs.

Based on Government guidelines, pet food supply falls into the category of being an essential service, so we will continue to trade unless further restrictions come into force. I will be working from home, and only travelling to our store in order to load our van for deliveries, where I will avoid any contact with our driver.

Stock

In the past week my manufacturer has received unprecedented levels of demand. I have been in contact with them on a daily basis, and they have assured me that even with the increased amount of orders, there is still plenty of stock left in their warehouses.

As should be expected there is a delay in getting the stock delivered whilst they clear the huge backlog of orders, and as of this morning they are currently working on orders placed on the 18th & 19th March. This means that customers should expect up to a 5 working day delay for their orders to be delivered. The initial surge has since decreased and so this lead time for delivery will begin to reduce, but please allow plenty of time when placing an order.

Store

Our store will of course remain shut for the foreseeable future, but we are still offering free delivery to DE and NG postcodes.

Deliveries by DPD

Contact free delivery is now the standard practice for DPD, which means signatures are not required from customers. They have reported no delays in service, and no disruption to any of their hubs.

Deliveries by our Van

We will continue to make deliveries ourselves until otherwise informed, but will avoid any form of contact with our customers. I am currently awaiting a delivery of stock to my store that has been delayed until Thursday 26th, so if you have not yet received an order placed in the past week you can expect delivery by Friday 27th.

In short we are still trading, but currently with a delay of up to 5 working days for delivery. Please bear with us during this difficult period, as we are doing everything we can to ensure your dogs remain fed.

I hope that you and your families are all remaining safe and well during these times and please get in touch if you have any concerns.

Kind regards,

Henrik
